Surround Sound is an award-winning all-gender a cappella group at the University of Toronto and recently won third place at the 2024 ICCA Central Quarterfinals. Drawing on a variety of styles within pop and R&B, we pride ourselves on featuring hidden gems and original music that will leave you wanting more!

FAQs
How do I join?
Every year in the fall, Surround Sound hosts auditions for students looking to join. These auditions typically comprise multiple rounds in which you will be asked to sing a short piece we provide beforehand, as well as a solo of your choice. Be on the lookout for when auditions open!
What do you sing?
We do a variety of genres throughout the school year, but mostly focus on more contemporary pieces (typically including pop and R&B).
How often are rehearsals?
Rehearsals happen twice per week throughout the school year. Rehearsals will be in-person and are usually held at the Faculty of Music buildings.
Do you do performances?
We do! Surround Sound has performed at many a cappella showcases, live gigs, events by the Faculty, the ICCAs, and much more!
